Dr. Dániel András Drexler is an Associate Professor at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, Obuda University, and a research group leader at the Physiological Controls Research Center of Obuda University. He obtained his master's degrees in electrical engineering (2019), biomedical engineering (2011), and applied mathematics (2014) from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). He started his Ph.D. studies at the Department of Control Engineering and Information Technology at BME in 2009 and defended his Ph.D. thesis (summa cum laude) in 2015. His research interests are physiological control, nonlinear control, control of chemical reactions, robot kinematics, and singularities of robotics. He has authored 151 papers, has more than 1700 citations, a cumulative impact factor of 56, and an h-index of 21. He has been a member of IEEE since 2016, served as the membership development officer of IEEE HS from 2017 to 2024, and was vice chair of IEEE HS from 2021 to 2024.
