CINTI 2025 Conference – Budapest, Hungary
Obuda University hosted the 25th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI 2025), bringing together researchers and professionals from 26 countries.
By the numbers:
- 157 paper submissions
- 133 accepted papers (including plenary and session contributions)
- Participants from 26 countries
At the opening, the welcome address on behalf of Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Obuda University, was delivered by Prof. Dr. Péter Galambos, Vice-Rector for Innovation. Prof. Dr. Imre J. Rudas, Founding Rector of Obuda University, also greeted the guests and registered participants. From the IEEE Hungary Section, Dr. Dániel András Drexler, Chair, delivered his greetings.
This year’s conference was dedicated to Prof. Dr. László Horváth in honor of his 80th birthday.
The plenary program at Obuda University featured three invited lectures:
- Prof. Dr. Shuai Li – Haircutting Robots: from Idea to Practice
- Prof. Dr. Tamás Ferenci – Investigating Mortality: From Basic Science to Information Technology Tools and Applications
- Dr. Gábor Kertész – From Metric Learning to Future Representation Learning: Challenges, Advances, and Opportunities
In the anniversary session dedicated to Prof. Dr. László Horváth’s 80th birthday, two additional talks were delivered:
- Founding Rector of Óbuda University László Horváth: A Life Dedicated to Computer-based Engineering – by Prof. Dr. Imre J. Rudas
- Third Paradigm for Automation of Research in Applied Informatics – by Prof. Dr. László Horváth
At the CINTI 2025 Banquet, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács and Dr. Dániel András Drexler, welcomed the participants and thanked them for contributing to the conference’s strong attendance and growing popularity. Several awards were then presented, including:
- Best Student Paper Award: Attila Bíró
- Grand Award: Prof. Dr. Imre Rudas and Prof. Dr. László Horváth
- Best Paper Award: Anca Adriana Petcu Lasc
- Outstanding Volunteer: Panna Zsoldos
- Best Reviewer Award: Ármin Károly
CINTI 2025 once again provided an international forum for sharing new results, strengthening professional networks and celebrating excellence in computational intelligence and informatics.
